College Fashionista is a podcast I have been following for some time now, guests always give great advice on several aspects of the fashion industry. In this episode, the host, Amy Levin Klein, interviews Megan Collins. Collins switched from a career in advertising and public relations to having her own mens fashion blog. The switch may seem random but her story is inspiring. At one point, Collins was saying that going down such a different and entrepreneurial path can sometimes be embarrassing to announce or even come to terms with. This resonated with me because taking such a big leap with high hopes and dreams isn't always welcomed by people around you. This however did not stop her, in fact she kept working and gave up comfortable job positions for less reliable gigs to grow her own personal brand. Ultimately, I can walk away from this episode with this message: when stepping into a new territory that you're passionate about and you feel like you don't belong, keep working until you feel like you do.
