Organizing Your Wardrobe

I can spend hours on end cleaning and organizing my closet but it looks like a hurricane hit it after trying to put together an outfit. Having my closet be organized however, is something that I prioritize even if the rest of my room is a mess. When my clothes are organized, I know exactly where things are and it doesn't take as long for me to put an outfit together.
We have all had mornings where we stand in front of our closet and we feel like we have absolutely nothing to wear. I personally struggle with the same issue but I noticed that it doesn't happen often when it is organized. Some may be skeptical about this claim but how many times have you gone weeks or months without fully organizing your closet and you find pieces you completely forgot about? Keeping your closet clean eliminates this issue.
The way I like to organize my closet is splitting it between seasons so it isn't so overwhelming. I bought storage bins so during the spring and summer I put all my heavy winter clothes in the bins and keep them on the top shelf of my closet, vise versa for when it's fall and winter. I have a wide closet so on one side I hang my blouses, dressy shirts and tank tops and they are grouped together this way. Since none of my tops are floor length, I put a shoes rack on the floor under my hung shirts. The other side of my closet is dedicated to jackets and longer dresses or pants that need to be hung. In the middle of either side, I have shelves that I installed where I keep my tops and pants that need to be folded.
This may sound super convoluted and unnecessary but you would be surprised not only how put together your life feels but how easy it is to find a cute outfit. Sometimes I even feel like I can pick out a better outfit when I know what it is in my closet!
