It's often said that life imitates art but the new spin that we are seeing in the market is fashion imitating art... literally. One of the recurring trends in the fashion industry are brands collaborating with artists to make some of their products more of a novelty. Louis Vuitton, a well known designer brand came out with a line called The Masters Collection.
Louis Vuitton partnered with Jeff Koons, an American artists to put this line together. The collection used works by artists such as Monet, Turner, Manet, Gauguin and Boucher, Da Vinci and many more. The paintings wrap the entirety of the bags and during production each piece went for anything between $2,800 and $4,000 each.
Another well brand known for using famous works in their designs is Converse. The most popular collaboration Converse did was with Comme des Garçons, a Japanese clothing label.

Vogue did a piece listing 25 of Converse's most popular collaborations with popular artists and brands such as Andy Warhol, Nintendo and Simpsons.
Maike Moncayo wrote an article about the top 10 most iconic fashion collabs and stated that:
"[a]rt and fashion are two fields of ongoing innovation and creative expression. Yet they are decidedly distinct from another: while art is free from any restrictions, fashion is bound to the demands of a fast-paced industry." Art and fashion are fields that require creativity and a release of expression but they split off into different directions due to different demands. They however, intertwine easily because of the innovative and expressive nature and the end result is a art and fashion lover's dream.
