Whether it's a thrift store find or on the sale rack, there is such a rush when you find the right piece.
There are three types of shoppers: The first is the online shopper that browses a stores' catalog from the comfort of their bed and gets it shipped straight to their door. The next is the skimmer who quickly walks through a store waiting for something to catch their eye. Thirdly there are people like me which I like to call the hunters and scavengers, we are meticulous and take our time until the right moment strikes and boom, we found the perfect item.
Shopping for me is a hobby, I can quite literally spend hours on end going from store to store looking at each item, and don't get me started on markets because I can spend an entire day there. Fortunately for me, I currently live in London where some markets are open every day and always have an abundance of new and unique pieces...if you look hard enough.
Not only do I look hard enough but I look high and low anywhere I go shopping. I never feel satisfied after shopping if I haven't looked at basically every item in the store or every stall at a market. Some may call this obsessive but I like to call it thorough and it usually works in my favor.

The last time I went to Camden Market, which was only a few days ago considering I go more often than I should admit, I found these sterling silver rings plated with gold. Jewelry is easily one of my fashion obsessions because it adds so much detail to an outfit. This stall was hidden in the midst of the Saturday chaos, and at first glance it was overwhelming to say the least. Hundreds of rings of all sizes both gold and silver consumed the entirety of the table and me being the hunter and scavenger I am, I sifted through almost every ring on that table. Normally the stall vendors at markets will have deals like 1 for £5, 2 for £10 and 3 for £15. In my case I got 3 for £12 because I love to haggle which landed me with three unique, beautiful handmade rings for an unbeatable price.

My second most recent jackpot find at Camden Market is this super bright red bucket style leather bag. This bag is definitely something that is out of my comfort zone due to the fact that majority of my clothes are black and most of my handbags are nude. Everything considered, it was hard to turn this bag down. I hadn't really seen a bag with this particular shape and the bright red drew me to it. It might have been luck or just the fact that I go so often but the vendor of this stall was actually closing down his little shop so I got this beauty for a whopping £8. This bag really is out of my comfort zone because as I mentioned most of my clothes are black but I actually see that as an advantage in this case, it makes the bag pop even more and every good outfit needs a good statement piece.
As you probably gathered I get a thrill from finding those unconventional and funky pieces that most people would normally look over. I don't dress too crazy but I like to incorporate statement pieces whether that be accessories like bags and belts or a few pairs of crazy shoes or a handful of unique tops.

I recently bought this Bershka phone case replacing my old black marble one. Marble print used to be all the rage and I don't normally think about my phone case when it comes to my overall look. However, when you think about it most people always have their phones in their hands so having just any old phone case is like carry a plastic grocery store bag as your purse just because it gets the job done. That analogy was probably a little too extreme but when I saw this phone case in store I decided that my phone is now an accessory just like any other.
This case however wouldn't be in this blog post if it wasn't so hard to find. I first saw this phone case at a Bershka in Rome, I thought it was cool but decided against buying it, again not thinking that a phone case mattered much. I came back to London and was walking down Oxford street and stepped into a Bershka, I saw the case again but unfortunately they didn't have any more of these cases in the size that I needed. I went to two other Bershka stores with no luck so I ended up having to order it online and got it sent to the closest store to me. Again, some may call this obsessive but I call it being thorough.
Hunting for the right addition to your wardrobe that completes any look, or just looking through a store or market for hours and stumbling across an item that enchantes you is what the thrill of the find is all about.
